About Our Business
Obsidian Inc. is a boutique operations consulting firm based in South Africa. The company consists of two Partners, Briony Bosse and Melissa Bosse. Collectively we have over 40 years of experience working with clients across various industries such as Financial Services, Insurance, Parastatals, Education and Oil and Gas. We partner with our clients directly as well as through strategic partnerships nationally and in Africa. Our long term objective is to expand our offering at a global level. Our offices are based in Kwazulu Natal and the Western Cape.

Melissa Bosse
Partner
For the past 15 years Melissa has worked in fields such as Wealth Management, Private Banking and Capital Markets where she has held roles with industry leading institutions such as Citadel Investment Services and Investec Bank. She holds a degree in Financial Management, and certifications in Project Management, Business Risk Management and Trading Operations. As a former Technology Risk and Operational Resilience Consultant for KPMG UK, Melissa is passionate about helping Obsidian Inc.'s clients improve their practices and strengthen their resilience capabilities. Melissa is a passionate Risk Consultant and member of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA).
Briony Bosse
Partner
Briony has studied and worked extensively across a plethora of subjects and industries. She holds a BA Honours Degree in Brand Leadership (Cum Laude) a Diploma in Communications Management and an Advanced Diploma in Brand & Business Innovation. She has over 35 years experience in the banking, marketing, operations and insurance industries. She has worked at the South African Reserve Bank, for the McCarthy Group, as Head of Business Operations for a large brokerage and as Area Manager & Business Development Manager for Cardinal Insurance Management software systems. In her capacity as a Consultant, she has consulted to various parastatals in Swaziland and industries within South Africa. She lectures part time at IMM across various business and marketing related subjects. Briony is ardent about assisting Obsidian Inc.’s clients in implementing and optimising operational practices with innovative outcomes.
